'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 2 hints at the return of Cisco Ramon as Vibe even as Team Flash prepares for the impending 'Crisis'

Season 5 saw him take the metahuman cure that removed his abilities. Cisco realized he wanted to give up being a superhero to focus on making a difference in the world with his inventions, rather than by fighting metahuman criminals. But this may all change in the 'Crisis'

This article contains spoilers for 'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 2: 'A Flash of Lightning'

The second episode presents some interesting talking points. There is ample information on the multiverse, the anti-matter signatures, the 'Crisis', and Barry's visions of the future.

Amidst all this is a brief glimpse of Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) suiting up as Vibe again. This is seen when Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) sends Barry's mind into the future through the anti-matter wall and the Scarlet Speedster zips through seeing visions of his loved ones dying.

One frame shows Team Flash being devoured by the 'Crisis' as Ralph Dibny aka The Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer), Caitlin Snow aka Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and Iris (Candice Patton) disintegrate with the rest of the world.

The same frame also sees Cisco suited up as Vibe. Although, as an unfortunate development, he's a victim in the 'Crisis' as well.

Season 5 saw him take the metahuman cure that removed his abilities. Cisco realized he wanted to give up being a superhero to focus on making a difference in the world with his inventions, rather than by fighting metahuman criminals.

Previously, we had written about how Cisco has been a valuable asset to team Flash irrespective of his abilities. His return suggests that the good-humored tech genius might have made the choice given how dark the upcoming days are.

It still remains to be seen when Cisco would return in his superhero avatar. With Bloodwork's threat heading their way along with the 'Crisis', it may only be a matter of time.

Team Flash is still unaware of what Barry just experienced. The final minutes of the episode sees Barry decide that he needs to prepare a team that could do without the Flash and this may be another reason for the breacher to come out of retirement.

We don't know if Valdes will be leaving once season six ends. If so, then expect him to play a key role in the upcoming season.

What are your thoughts on Cisco returning as Vibe in Season 6? 'The Flash' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
