'The Flash' Season 6: Carlos Valdes' Cisco may not be Vibe anymore, but he still is a valuable asset to Team Flash
Carlos Valdes' Cisco Ramon has been an absolute delight since season one of 'The Flash'. He's quick-witted, sharp, gets along well with everyone (of course, the Wells will have a different opinion) and, most importantly, is a loyal member of Team Flash.
His comic timing is impeccable and somehow manages to brighten up grim situations. However, just like the rest of the team, Cisco has had a hard few days and season six will most likely see him return to his desk trying to get the team back on track.
There are ample reasons to support this theory. To start off, season five saw him take the metahuman cure. That means he won't be able to breach anymore, so there will be no more Vibe appearances.
He has always been the man behind the desk and as Vibe, he was able to lend a hand to Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Dibny aka The Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer).
Cisco realized he wanted to give up being a superhero to focus on making a difference in the world with his inventions, rather than by fighting metahuman criminals.
The new season has two formidable villains in Godspeed and Bloodwork, and perhaps Vibe may have been of great help. Not to forget, the entire season revolves around the impending 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.
With superheroes from across the multiverses uniting to take on the Anti-Monitor, a part of Cisco would want to be on the field with the heroes.
This may come as a surprise considering he gave up the powers to help with his inventions, but again, 'The Flash' is a show that is about being human first and a superhero later. Cisco's plight is understandable.
It is also easy to see why he opted for the metahuman cure. Cisco has been pretty unlucky when it comes to relationships and his romance with fellow viber Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) didn't pan out in his favor, leaving him heartbroken.
However, Cisco seems to have put that behind him after he started dating Kamilla Hwang (Victoria Park) in season five. When we last see Cisco in 'Legacy', it's during a closing montage where we see him with Hwang.
In all probability, we may see Cisco behind the desk again. This time ensuring that he's the man to go to for any gadgets and tech help.
We don't know if Valdes will be leaving once season six ends. If so, then expect him to play a key role in the upcoming season. With Team Flash in dire straits following the events of the last season, a man like Cisco is just what they need.
