The first episode for the highly-anticipated series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' has finally arrived and it has everything that people have been asking for. The episode is filled with action and emotions as Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) try to normalize their lives after what happened in the battle against Thanos in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

In the episode, we see that the world is facing new challenges and is waiting for a hero to arrive. At the end of ‘Endgame’, we see Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), aka Captain America, passing on his legacy to Sam. He gave his shield to Sam and thought he would be the best to take up the mantle. However, Sam thinks that he is not fit enough to take up the mantle as of now and believes that the shield only belongs to Rogers.

But the world is on the verge of facing new difficulties and they are worse than ever. The United States of America feels like they need a hero. So, the government decides to choose a new Captain America and the new Captain America is none other than John Walker (Wyatt Russell). The episode ends with Walker wearing the iconic costume and carrying the shield in his hand as he winks to the camera as the new Captain America.

Fans say Sam Wilson is "our" Captain America

Fans were not thrilled with the announcement and expressed their disappointment with the introduction of the new Captain America. Social media users flooded the micro-blogging website with comments like “Sam Wilson is my Captain America.”

One user said, “Sam Wilson, the only Captain America I acknowledge, the rest of them are trash.” Another user said, “WHO TF IS THAT MAN ONLY SAM WILSON IS MY CAPTAIN AMERICA THAT OTHER GUY CAN FUCK OFF KINDLY.”  Another user noted, “NOT MY CAPTAIN AMERICA, SAM WILSON IS MY CAPTAIN AMERICA.”

“NOT THIS WHITE MAN!!!!!! SAM WILSON SHOULD BE CAPTAIN AMERICA WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS,” another user noted. Meanwhile, one of the users said that Wilson should not have put the shield on display and take up the mantle as the new Captain America. “Sam Wilson please tell me you aren't gonna bury that thing with steve or put it in a display that shield is YOURS you dummie (affectionate) YOU’RE Captain America,” one user wrote. “World is broken and it sure would be better with Sam Wilson as Captain America,” another one noted.

Another one said, “My heart hurts after that episode. Sam Wilson is MY Captain America.” One user said, "SAM WILSON DESERVES TO BE CAPTAIN AMERICA EVERYONE ELSE SHUT UP."
