'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier': When will the Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan show release on Disney+?

Our theory is Marvel might sandwich 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' right between the release of 'Black Widow' and 'The Eternals'

If the report by MCU Direct is anything to go by, then MCU Phase 4's 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' might arrive later than expected. While the Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan starrer was slated for an August release, it does appear that Marvel has taken the series off their August content roster. The only question in fan's minds is about the likely release date and there's every reason to believe we would next hear from the series only by the end of the year. With this, a Fall 2020 release date is the hope that fans harbor.

What this also does is have a domino effect on the other miniseries, 'WandaVision' and 'Loki', which will see a delay in the release as well.  The only positive is this gives each of the series ample time to wind up post-production and release episodes without a hitch. Our theory at the moment is Marvel might sandwich 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' right between the release of 'Black Widow' (November 6, 2020) and 'The Eternals' (February 12, 2021). Not just is it a way to give fans something, but also keep a steady flow of Phase 4 content going.

This means the speculation is to see whether we might get a December 2020 release date or a January 2021 premiere. Fans though have expressed displeasure after hearing the news. "Cmon do better ... service is becoming lame. Yes, I just described my beloved Marvel as lame, well probably meant Disney. I mean that's such a mickey mouse organization.... ill see me out," a fan wrote. "Because the pandemic that delays everything?" a fan asked. "Does this mean the Loki series will be extended too?" was the other question.

"With planned shootings in September, I think it's not shocking news," opined one of the fans. "Me thinking that the same thing will probs happen to WandaVision," a fan tweeted. However, it must also be noted that the series was one of the many that had its production ground to a halt after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Even though there was some footage released during the shareholder's meeting earlier this year, probably there's not much to release the show on Disney+ yet.

Reports about the shooting for 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' say there are about nine days of filming left, so we're not ruling out the 2020 Fall window theory.
