European movies excel in narrating events of their illustrious and intense history and Netflix has been the right partner to bring some of such incredible foreign movies for the global audience. ‘The Endless Trench’ (‘La Trinchera Infinita’) is one such historical drama based on true events that narrates the events of the Spanish Civil War through one man’s life.

Release date

‘The Endless Trench’ made it to the theaters across Europe in 2019. Now the US audience can see it when it drops on Netflix on February 28, 2020.

Plot

The story of this historical drama is set in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. Inspired by true events of that time, it follows the story of a Republican. As the nation is gripped by the rising fascist rule, a man is marked to be killed. To escape possible retribution and save himself and his wife, he hides in his home for 33 years.
