'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: Reawakened' Season 2: Release date, plot and all you need to know about the Netflix anime
'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K' has returned, thanks to Netflix, under the 'Netflix Original' brand retitled, 'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: Reawakened'. Based on the manga of the same name, 'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K' follows the story of Saiki Kusuo (Hiroshi Kamiya), a teenager with extraordinary psychic abilities trying to live a normal life at PK Academy. The series hosts a wide range of supporting characters, most of them students at his school, and some of them have abilities of their own.
Release Date
No release date has yet been confirmed, but according to The Cinemaholic, we can expect season 2 of 'Reawakened' to release sometime in October 2020.
Plot
'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: Reawakened' is a gag show, that is not focused on continuity or an overarching plot. After the events of the show's third season, Saiki K has regained his powers in 'Reawakened', which ended on the cliffhanger of a meteorite headed towards the Earth. Saiki K will no doubt use his powers to save the planet, though whether this is actually shown on screen or not is in question, as the show may just return to focus on PK Academy-centric gags.
Cast
There are separate voice casts for both the English and the Japanese versions, though Netflix changed the English voice from season 1 of 'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K' for 'Awakened'. It's not known which English cast will be doing the dub for a season 2, but the Japanese voice cast should be returning.
The Japanese voice cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Saiki Kusuo, Daluke Ono as Riki Nendo, Nobunaga Shizamaki as Shin Kaido, Satoshi Hino as Kineshi Hairo, and Ai Kayano as Kokomi Teruhashi.
Trailers
There are currently no trailers for season 2.
