'The Curse of Oak Island' fans wonder if Lagina brothers 'went to Home Depot' as History TV archaeologists make another 'wood' discovery
NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA: Various things unearthed on the island have emerged over the years, some carbon-dated to be centuries old. While individual artifacts hold value, as evidenced in the recent 'The Curse of Oak Island' episode showcasing specific wood pieces, online viewers point out the absence of a significant main treasure location discovery. At the swamp, the team may have uncovered another stone feature. In the January 30 episode, they came across several pebbles resembling the peculiar stone highway.
That might indicate the discovery of an expansion to the route or a new independent roadway. Last week, the crew found wooden beams on the southern side of the swamp, leading them to believe they uncovered an old dam that had created the swamp. In any case, significant development seems to be underway on this swampy land. However, this week's episode concluded with both Lagina brothers discovering additional wood, which they compared to old "tools" for building roads.
Viewers on X mocked the team writing, " PIECE 'O WOOD is an 'ANDLE .. or maybe its just an old stool leg...." While another quipped, "Wood?"

One threw a jab writing, " "I've found some wood chips" Did Rick go to a Home Depot?" A fourth user sighed, "annndddd its button, wood and coin time."

Some users joked, "More wood?? Could it be that since Jesus was a carpenter and worked with wood that the Holy Grail itself is buried in the money pit?" "Oh maybe there is no secret to uncover just toy guns and wood," wrote another.

'The Curse of Oak Island' team discovered another coin
Archaeologists from Lot 5 have discovered another coin on the island. This lot has proven to be the most productive spot for collecting coins, with several recovered over the previous two seasons. In Season 11's opening episode, the team found four coins, some dating back 2000 years with origins in the Roman Empire. While it may appear larger than the preceding ones, this does not imply that it is older or more valuable. Perhaps the men will have Numismatist Sandy Campbell look at this relic.
'The Curse of Oak Island' team brings back Carmen Legge to identify new mystery object
Finally, this week, blacksmithing specialist Carmen Legge returned to the island, where he spoke with Alex Lagina and archaeologist Emma Culligan. He identified an object that came from money, jewelry, or a little treasure chest.
Who finances 'The Curse of Oak Island' excavation?
The Lagina brothers brought their own money, as well as funds from sponsors and the production firm for 'The Curse of Oak Island'. 'The Curse of Oak Island' Season 11 airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on History.
