ARISE YOUNG ROYALS: Platinum Jubilee events will see George, Charlotte and Louis grow into roles
Kate Middleton and Prince William's three cherished children will take on a "visible" role in the Queen's historic Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The royal family will be able to highlight the strengths of its most notable members during the extended bank holiday weekend of celebrations.
Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, are expected to make their public debuts in the carriage to the Trooping the Colour, as well as on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the historic flyover. And did you know that at the Trooping of the Colour in 1988, William was four years old, the same age as his youngest son Louis, and had his first carriage ride beside Princess Diana and the Queen mother? Yes!

According to the Telegraph, George, Charlotte, and Louis are among the royal family members who are expected to be on the balcony on June 2 to see the flypast that concludes the Trooping the Colour parade. The three children have already appeared on the balcony between 2015 and 2019, but have yet to make their Trooping parade debut in a more active role. And royal enthusiasts are hoping that this year will be the year when the young Cambridges join the adults in the carriage parade.
While the specific arrangements for the weekend are still being finalized, it is known that William will be in charge of military festivities, including stepping in for Her Majesty in a ceremonial inspection the week before the jubilee weekend to evaluate the Trooping of the Colour. Meanwhile, Kate is set to visit Superbloom: The Tower of London, an event in which the medieval castle's moat will be inundated with flowers and transformed into a playground by the addition of a slide. It is also reported that the royal kids, George, Charlotte, and Louis will be by her side.
"My two cents: the Cambridge children will join their mother and the Duchess of Cornwall in their carriage at Trooping the Colour for the first time," royal watcher Royal Arjan stated on Twitter. To this post, one person wrote and asked, “Camilla with George in driving direction and Kate, Charlotte and Louis in the other side? What’s your prediction?” to which Arjan replied, “The two Duchesses in driving direction anyway, the kids on the other side (or perhaps Louis between his mother and step-grandmother).”
