The Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte looked stunning in matching sky-blue outfits as they stepped out for the annual Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Sunday, April 17. Kate Middleton, 40, and Charlotte, 6, were joined by Prince William and Prince George, who looked dapper in twinning navy blue suits.

Kate Middleton, known for her sustainable fashion choices, looked radiant in a recycled dresscoat by Emilia Wickstead that she previously wore on a visit to Luxembourg in 2017. The duchess accessorized the look with a blue pleated headband from Jane Taylor, suede heels, and pearl earrings. Princess Charlotte twinned with her mother in a navy cardigan over a floral collared dress, paired with pale blue tights and Mary Jane-style flats. Prince Louis, the youngest child of Kate and William, did not attend the Easter celebrations.

The Easter service, which is considered a staple in the royal calendar, was attended by several royals including Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, with their children Lady Louise, and James, Viscount Severn; as well as Princess Eugenie, who arrived with cousin Peter Phillips and his two daughters Savannah and Isla. The queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall also attended with her husband Mike Tindall and their eldest daughter, Mia.

Queen Elizabeth II, who has been experiencing mobility issues, did not attend the Easter service for the first time in 50 years. Concerns for the Queen's health have heightened in recent months after she spent a night in hospital in October 2021. The Queen has been staying at Windsor Castle since February as she recovers from Covid-19. Her Majesty's son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, did not attend as well.

While the Queen has not been making public appearances, it's been reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid her a visit on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. This marked the couple's first joint visit since moving to California in 2020. Additionally, this was Meghan's first UK visit since March 2020. Prince Harry had visited his grandmother in April 2021 for Prince Philip's funeral and a couple of months later to unveil his mom, the late Princess Diana's statue.
