As soon as we saw Kim Davis giggle when she looked at ‘The Biggest Loser’ trainer Steve Cook we immediately fell in love with her. This 57-year-old southern belle from Tennessee describes herself as the “life of the party” with her “hearty” and “supersized” personality. But underneath her sunny disposition, lies a story of a brave woman who battled cancer and is on a quest for a healthier life.

Nineteen years ago Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer, but the ‘Biggest Loser’ contestant fought it bravely and conquered it. Although she has successfully won her battle with cancer, she is still battling to lead a healthy life. Kim, who works as a tour guide at a whiskey distillery, found herself packing on pounds over the years. When she hit 242 pounds on the weighing scale, she knew things had to change. So, she made her way to ‘The Biggest Loser’, ready for her second major battle.

With constant support and encouragement from not only her trainer Steve but also her fellow contestants, Kim has managed to make great progress in achieving her goal of getting healthy. Despite her best attempts, she found herself below the “yellow line”, twice and was at the risk of being eliminated, but luckily she managed to secure her spot on the show, thanks to her team’s effort.

What sets Kim apart from the other contestants on the show is her zeal for life. She pushes herself very hard to give her best in everything she does. We even heard Steve comment that if she gives even half of her energy that she gave while fighting cancer, then there is no looking back for her.
