'The Batman 2': Joker's arrival to court of owls, everything we know about the sequel
Less than a day after 'The Batman' releasing in the United States, the buzz is all about a potential sequel. The reboot starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, and Jeffrey Wright in key roles follows the Riddler (Paul Dano) on a serial-killing spree, and over time the investigation unearths a conspiracy that ties back to Bruce Wayne himself.
Talking about the sequel, director Matt Reeves already hinted that talks were on for a second movie. "You don’t make number one as if there’s going to be a number two. You have to make number one as if you’re swinging for the fences and it has to be a story that stands and lives on its own," he said in an interview with The Independent. "But I really believe in what we’ve done and I’d be excited to tell more stories… We are already telling other stories in the streaming space, we’re doing stuff on HBO Max, we’re doing a Penguin show with Colin, which is gonna be super cool. And we’re working on some other stuff too but we have started talking about another movie."

When will 'The Batman 2' release?
"I will go on record and say that it will be less than five years," said 'The Batman' producer Dylan Clark. Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight' trilogy had a two-year gap between each of the films and Matt Reeves' sequel might just probably take almost the same time. Our bet: 'The Batman 2' might release sometime in 2025.
What will be the plot of 'The Batman 2'?
With Barry Keoghan's Joker in the mix and the Riddler scheming with him, there are two villains to tinker with already. Robert Pattinson wished for the court of owls to show up in the sequel. Talking to the Den of Geek, “I’d love to do something like Court of Owls,” Pattinson said. The English actor was referring to the 2011 DC Comics horror plot about a hidden society that’s secretly called the shots in Gotham from an underground lair for years.
The site's writer John Saavedra opined it would be a neat move. "The Court of Owls, a cult-like faction of criminals who wear owl masks and employ undead assassins to do their bidding, would certainly fit into the more Gothic feel of Reeves’ new Batman universe," he wrote.
Who will be in the sequel?
Pattinson and Jeffrey Wright will most likely reprise their roles as Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon respectively. Andy Serkis will probably return as Alfred as well. Keoghan as the Joker and Paul Dano as the Riddler might be in the appearances list as well.
Director
Matt Reeves is already in talks for a sequel and considering the massive success the movie has already been, he will almost certainly helm the sequel.
