‘The Amazing Race’ Season 32 was filmed from November to December 2018, yet fans had to wait until October 2020 for the season to finally begin airing. With the show having been on the back burner for more than a year, fans were disappointed with a rather boring season, especially a finale episode that didn’t give the viewers any adrenaline rush.

Fans were quick to point out that many of the challenges and plots classic to the game show was missing this season, “Congratulations 2 #WillandJames on winning #TheAmazingRace! what kind of sorry ass ending was that? No assembling map w/places, w/ppl met, just pull out a baby from King cake, eating 3 beignets, swing to hey clue, assembling a globe then run finish line; U suck!” Another viewer asked what happened to the show that used to be so good, “Extremely boring and unsatisfying ending to a subpar season. What happened @AmazingRaceCBS? You used to be so good. Worst team got a huge field advantage, and only the first roadblock was really a challenge. After that it was pretty much a done deal. No suspense.” Another wrote, “What an uneventful, non challenging season finale of #TheAmazingRace.”

Another thing that didn’t sit well with the viewers was the waste of trays and trays of King cakes. The team members had to break and dissect each cake with their bare hands to look for a plastic baby which led to a waste of a huge number of cakes. Viewers say an alternate challenge could have been introduced that was less wasteful. “@AmazingRaceCBS What a vile waste of beautiful cakes! It was such unnecessary destruction that could have been eaten and enjoyed. You should be ashamed of yourselves for creating such a foolish competition!” wrote a viewer. “#Hollywood Producers and Executives clueless as usual. NO ONE likes to see #FOOD waste like this. EVER. So Out of touch. Come up with a different challenge; find the hidden color, count the cakes…," wrote another viewer.

“Most disappointing and least exciting season of #theamazingrace. If I wanted alliances to decide who wins I would watch Big Brother or Survivor, and I don’t. Do better next time,” wrote another viewer. “Well I see why they didn't air this season of #theamazingrace for 2 years. What a brutal season with annoying teams and a miserable finale yikes I hope that wasn't the last TAR episode ever.” wrote yet another viewer. Ridiculing the fact the most challenging game for Will was to eat carbs, another viewer wrote, “Love that the biggest obstacle facing the gays after thousands of miles and insurmountable challenges on #TheAmazingRace was... carbs.”
