LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Acolyte' Episode 8 aired on July 16, 2024, on Disney+, and the final episode of the show featured an amazing lightsaber battle between Qimir (Manny Jacinto) and Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae).

Created by Leslye Headland, 'The Acolyte' has come under immense criticism for its treatment of the 'Star Wars' canon, short episode lengths, forced representation, unnecessary cliffhangers, and many execution flaws in its narrative.

Despite its flaws. the one thing that made the show watchable was its action choreography, particularly towards the end of the show where many great sequences displayed great lightsaber action.

Fans were impressed by the final episode's action choreography, especially the fight between Qimir and Master Sol which had some great movement and psychology.

A Reddit user said, "Say whatever you want about The Acolyte, the fight choreography has been outstanding and that'll be the best remembered part of this series."  Another user summed up the series by commenting, "Great fights, interesting theme and story, bad dialogue and general execution."

A Reddit user said, "Whoever did this week’s choreography cooked though. These fights looks great". Another user added, "Those scene of sol jumping backward? That's definitely Wuxia!" talking about the ancient Chinese Martial arts fiction.

Another Reddit user echoed the general sentiment about the show, "They have consistently been excellent at choreography for the action. I wish the other elements of the show were elevated to the same degree."

A Reddit user came up with the ideal combination that in a fantasy world is where we can impress all 'Star Wars' users, "Give me the fight choreography of the Acolyte and the storytelling of Andor. Come on Disney, you know the quality is that we want."

A Reddit user talked about the action choreography in Episode 5 where the Jedi were massacred by Qimir by saying, "The writing and editing on this show was awful. The fight choreography is the only redeeming factor. Episode 5 was peak Star Wars for that reason".

In an epic fight between two highly-skilled warriors, we saw Master Sol finally get the better of Qimir after Qimir had virtually finished the Jedi in Khofar. Master Sol used his control over the force to reverse a lightsaber attack on Qimir.

The outcome did not ensure a victory for the Jedi though as Master Sol was eventually killed by his beloved padawan Osha (Amandla Stenberg) after she gets to know that Sol murdered her mother.

She used her special abilities with the Force to choke him without the use of a weapon and from a distance and he chocked to death as she switched to the dark side.
