'The 100' Season 7: Why is Episode 10 not airing this week? Will [spoiler] die when the show returns?

'The 100' will not air until August, but when it returns the show promises a lot of heartbreak

When it comes to 'The 100', it is always difficult to predict what will come next. However, based on the promo for the next episode — the 10th episode of the seventh and final season of the post-apocalyptic show — we see a lot of torture, pain, and perhaps even a death ahead. Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait a bit longer to watch what comes next, given that the show has gone on its midseason break.

The last episode we saw of 'The 100' chronicled how Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos), Charmaine Diyoza (Ivana Milicevic), and Echo (Tasya Teles) became soldiers for the Disciples. We also learned that Hope Diyoza (Shelby Flannery) was sent to Penance aka Skyring aka Planet Beta by Echo, no less because she failed the final test. While we think that Octavia and Diyoza themselves are just playing along, we are not so certain about Echo, who has gone on a violent rampage since she learned that Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) died.

While we believe that Bellamy is still alive, we are not certain when he will return, but we are holding on to hope that the next episode titled 'A Little Sacrifice' will give us a glimpse of the beloved character. Meanwhile, the promo shows us that Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) may be holding it together after learning of Bellamy's supposed death, but it may just be a matter of time before she breaks just like she did mourning her mother's death in the season premiere.

It also looks like the episode will focus on Gabriel Santiago (Chuku Modu), who seems to know more about the Flame and seems to have switched over to the side of the Disciples. However, we think there's more to that and we cannot wait to see what Gabriel's conversation with Bill Cadogan (John Pyper-Ferguson) is about. Let's also remember that Gabriel knows the Flame is not in Clarke's head, which Cadogan does not seem to know.

The description for the next episode is quite vague. It simply states: "Sheidheda makes his move; a disciple goes rogue." However, it does give us the idea that there will be a significant Sanctum storyline again. Last time we were on Sanctum, we saw Sheidheda (JR Bourne) finally revealing his true identity and killing all of the Faithful. When some of WonKru found out because of John Murphy's (Richard Harmon) slip, they even knelt to him. The episode could also bring about yet another Sheidheda-Murphy showdown.

The promo for the episode also suggests that the disciple who has gone rogue could be Levitt (Jason Diaz), whom we saw getting romantically involved with Octavia. A shot in the promo shows Levitt tied up and bloody while screaming in pain. We hope that Levitt comes out safe in the next episode.

Finally, we also see a shot of Hope crying out for her mother, held back by Octavia and Clarke. This was a shot that featured in the season's trailer as well. By the look on their faces, we are afraid that a character, specifically Diyoza, could die. It has been a long time coming and being the final season, we are sure there will be some serious casualties.

The next episode of 'The 100' will air on August 5 on The CW at 8/7c. Watch the promo for the next episode below.
