Nothing sparks interest like hope, and a little inspiration. Taking this thought forward is Jennifer Lopez's new show on Quibi, a short-form mobile video platform. Read on if you'd like to know more.

Release Date

'Thanks a Million' releases on Quibi on April 6, Monday.

Plot

The pitch is as simple as it can get. The 10-episode series will feature public figures who will trigger a kindness chain by gifting a massive $100,000 each episode to an unsuspecting individual, who will then pay half of that amount to the next person they deem fit. The idea is to get a cycle of good deeds rolling. By the end of the series, a $1 million would have been distributed, hence the title.

Cast

For now, celebrities featuring on the show would be Kristen Bell, Nick Jonas, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan and Karlie Kloss among few in individual episodes.

Showrunner

Executive producing it is Jennifer and here's how she announced it to the world on social media earlier this month: "Guys this is something special, I’m soo excited to announce my new show #ThanksAMillion… coming to Quibi on April 6! Stay tuned for more deets.”

This is a new and exciting project for Jennifer, something we have not seen her do before.

This year and the last have been interesting for Jennifer. Crime-comedy 'Hustlers' was received well, and later her 'Super Bowl 2020 full halftime show' performance alongside Shakira became one of the most-talked-about events of the year so far.

She previously starred in 'Shades of Blue' as Harlee, which was on air for three seasons. Even though it was canceled, the singer-actress was feeling positive about her experience on the show.

"It's crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful. We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption," she pointed out in her statement.
