For 37-year-old Thomas Gipson keeping his flirty nature in check was a very difficult task. This ended up hurting his relationship with his girlfriend Chelsea Brea. Although the couple seemed to be in a happy and great relationship, Thomas's charms were leaving Chelsea feeling insecure and questioning his loyalty toward her. So the couple decided to come on 'Temptation Island' so that Thomas could prove to Chelsea that his flirty nature was harmless and she could trust him.
Unfortunately, Thomas ended up doing precisely what Chelsea dreaded- getting close to another girl on the island and opening up to her. Since setting foot on the island, Thomas had his eyes on Sophia Perez. The 22-year-old makeup artist from Miami too was drawn to Thomas and they kept flirting with each other at every given opportunity. Watching her boyfriend get close to another woman was more than what Chelsea could handle, so she too decided to go rogue and began getting intimate with a single named Blake Eyres. Although the writing was clear on the wall that Chelsea and Thomas's relationship wouldn't survive the island, the couple left everybody shocked when they decided to leave together and work on fixing their relationship. During their time on the island, Thomas kept telling Sophia that no matter how things panned out between Chelsea and him, he still wanted Sophia in his life. The young makeup artist was more than happy to hear it and was very hopeful about leaving the island with her new love interest. So, we wouldn't be surprised if Sophia was just as shocked as everybody else with Thomas's decision to leave with Chelsea.
However, the makeup artist doesn't seem to be wasting any time wallowing over her relationship. She is instead working really hard to build her career as a makeup artist. A glance at her Instagram page and it is very clear that she is extremely passionate about her job. She recently made an emotional post about how she is glad to have taken a risk and turned her side hustle as a makeup artist into her full-time career. It looks like the risk paid off really well for the 22-year-old is reportedly opening a beauty room and managing her own glam team according to her post.
She wrote, "If someone would of told me at 17 years old that I would become a full-time makeup artist, managing my own glam team , and opening a beauty room all at the age of 23 years old, I would honestly think they’re LYING!! It’s crazy how what started as a hobby doing my friends makeup on my kitchen counter when I was in high school is now my career." "It’s really true what they say, if you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life," she added.
Sophia also revealed the many fears and concerns she had about her decision to become a full-time makeup artist on her post. "When I decided to take my side hustle to the next level and committing to makeup as a full time I had doubts, I didn’t have nearly the amount of clientele that I have now. So I always thought to myself, should I really do this? Would I be able to make a living for myself doing this?" "The best decision I made was taking the entrepreneurship route. Yes it is a high risk, long hours, and double the amount of work as most 9-5s at times, but the reward is well worth it. I don’t know what my life would be like if I took the corporate route or left makeup to be only a side hustle," she shared.
She concluded her post by encouraging people to take risks and follow their dreams. "Take that risk, because if not you’ll always ask yourself what if." Looking at her hard work and dedication it might just be a matter of time before she became a makeup empire mogul!
