HAMILTON COUNTY, OHIO: The drama never stopped, even when the cameras did. Although former 'Teen Mom' stars Ryan Edwards and his ex-wife Mackenzie Edwards have been removed from the show, controversy never left their side. Ryan was arrested two days after Mackenzie officially filed for divorce after six years of marriage. Their wedding planner was also presented with a restraining order and temporary custody of the two children - son Jagger and daughter Stella. According to a press release from Hamilton County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department, he was taken into custody on March 1 on the grounds of stalking and violating an order of protection.

This is not the first time Ryan is making the news for all the wrong reasons. His addiction problems led him to get arrested a few times in the past. On Thursday, March 9 Ryan shared a post via Instagram saying, "It is what it is." The post was shared without a caption, which led to many fans flooding his comment section. Keep scrolling down to find out what was the post all about.

'It is what it is'

Before sharing the controversial captionless post on Instagram on Thursday, March 9, Ryan's last post - a picture of himself, was shared on February 19. While this post was vague and was shared without any caption, his words seemed to be quite emotionally loaded. It could be due to his arrest and the charges laid against him for stalking. This post was not received well by Instagram users. They were quick to flood the comment section with negative opinions on the former reality star. "No, it’s what you made it,” one user wrote while another chimed to say, “Go to treatment. You know we only go 3 places. Jails institutions and/or death ☠️."

Another user slammed him for not taking responsibility for his ill actions, they said, "He’s Been enabled by his parents since he was in his teens. He lived at home until he was with McKenzie. Didn’t pay for child support For Bentley and never saw him. and his parents knew all this. They paid numerous times for him to be in rehab. He won’t get better until he chooses to get better. He’s an adult." His post was not welcomed in a positive light at all. Fans and followers of the show are quite upset with his actions. This sentiment prompted another user to say, "Get your s*** together."

What led to Ryan's arrest?

Ryan and Mackenzie, met while they were working out at a gym in Tennessee. Shortly after that, they got engaged in December 2016 and tied the knot five months later. Since then they have been on the news for several reasons, including Ryan's history of drug abuse and prior arrests. But his most recent run-in with the law happened two days after his estranged wife, Mackenzie, filed for divorce. A restraining order and temporary custody were both granted to her at the time of her filing in February. Even though he was ordered to stay away and have zero contact with his now-estranged wife, he ended up sending her a text message nine days later and also threatened her over calls.

Not only that, but Ryan also contacted Mackenzie’s father, Bob Standifer, even when he was asked to stay away. Mackenzie was quick to record these life-threatening calls and provided them to the police. This was the first time he violated the direct court orders. The second time was on Wednesday, March 1 when he was booked for stalking and violating an order of protection. To top it all off, he was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and two bags of suspected narcotics.
