Taylor initially released the album with the basic edition and later released a set of songs called '3 am songs.' "I’m calling them 3am tracks. Lately I’ve been loving the feeling of sharing more of our creative process with you, like we do with From The Vault tracks. So it’s 3am and I’m giving them to you now. "

The singer shocked everyone by announcing at the 2022 VMAs that her highly anticipated 10th studio album, ‘Midnights,’ will be her next release rather than one of her re-recorded albums, as was previously believed. Swift's love of Easter eggs and surprises is well-known to longtime fans. Following two surprise releases of 'Evermore' and 'Folklore,' the passionate artist has returned to the traditional release structure of a first announcement and a slow outflow of information.
