Taylor Swift released her new holiday music video, 'Christmas Tree Farm' and it is Swift's nostalgic trip down the memory lane of her childhood. The singer dropped her newest holiday single Thursday night along with the music video.

The video takes us to a farm Swift grew up on. It has already plucked nearly 2 million views on YouTube within its first 10 hours. The sentimental video opens with Swift traveling and deep in thought, nestled behind stringed instruments and the opening lines: "My winter nights are taken up by static, stress, and holiday shopping traffic. But I close my eyes, and I'm somewhere else. Just like magic".

What starts out as a soothing jazz tune, sparks into a holiday-spirited melody of chimes, bells and a playful piano melody that opens a curtain into the farm she grew up on as a child. As images of the young Swift and her little brother, Austin, flash across the screen, a bright, festive tune blares – string instruments strumming and jingle bells chiming.

The music video is a compilation of Swift's home videos from their days on the farm and includes her as a toddler sledding in the snow, and the now-famous singer opening up her first acoustic guitar Christmas morning.

"In my heart is a Christmas tree farm where the people would come to dance under sparkles and lights/Bundled up in their mittens and coats, and the cider would flow, and I just want to be there tonight," Swift sings.

The layers of strings and Christmas bells are beautifully placed atop a staccato drum rhythm as the song plays out like a pop-up book in what feels like a reminder of the good ol' days of "storytime" as a kid.

With her brother as a star of the video, we can guess Swift has caught the giving Christmas spirit early and one could translate this video as a Christmas card to her loved ones. Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and spent her early years living on an actual Christmas tree farm before moving to pursue a future as a country singer in Nashville, Tennessee.

Before Swift was a pop princess, she was a country darling. She discovered her love for music as a toddler and eventually, her parents and younger brother moved to Nashville to help her pursue her career. "My brother's a real bro for doing that," Swift said in an interview with 'CBS Sunday Morning' earlier this year.

Well, Taylor Swift's 'Christmas Tree Farm' is a great reminder and rewinder like a hot "cuppa" this festive season and we can all share in her sentiment.
