K-pop supergroup SuperM have joined forces with the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise mental health awareness for people across the globe. The boy band will be performing at an exclusive virtual concert on World Mental Health Day on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Titled 'The Big Event for Mental Health', the special event will kick off at 8 am EST/4 pm CEST/11 pm KST on several platforms, including the WHO official website, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tiktok and the Twitch WHO account. One of the songs we can expect to see the band perform will be 'Better Days'.

The WHO announced the event on Wednesday, October 7, and said, "We are thrilled to have @SuperM joining our Big Event for Mental Health on #WorldMentalHealthDay!" on Twitter. It added, "Stay tuned for #SuperMxWHO!" The post came with a snap of SuperM posing in jeans and white shirts. Check out the photo below.

The group's label SM Entertainment noted, "To perform a consoling stage for global mental health as the only K-pop act participating!" in their Twitter announcement for the event.

Fans are excited to learn about their favorite band's performance in the upcoming event. "Thank you superm for loving us always," said a fan, while another called the group "BEST BOYS".

One fan wrote, "Thank you for all you do!! We love you."

Another fan also commented on the band's new album, saying, "SuperM is growing day by day and their new album is just [heart] specially better days and drip."

Another fan added, "sharing strength through their music, we stan!!"

'The Big Event for Mental Health' seeks to promote the importance of mental health. Additionally, the event aims to spread awareness on how to manage mental health disorders and encourage mental health programs to be provided to all. Several special guests, including Queen Mathilde of Belgium, First Vice President of Costa Rica Epsy Campbell Barr, Liverpool FC goalkeeper Alisson Becker and Nigerian singer Korede Bello among others will make an appearance at the event, according to Korea Dispatch.

This is not the first time that SuperM have been spreading positivity in 2020. The news of the event arrived soon after the release of the band's debut album, 'Super One', and two pre-release singles, including '100' and 'Tiger Inside'. With inspiring themes from its songs, the album shared the message, “We are all special beings, each of us has a special power, and let’s overcome the difficulties as one." In April, SuperM performed as the only K-pop group at the One World: Together At Home event which benefited frontline workers fighting against the spread of Covid-19.
