K-pop band Super Junior drop story trailer for 10th studio album 'The Renaissance', fans say 'take my money'
South Korean boy band Super Junior have shared a batch of new teasers on Monday, November 9, for their new studio album 'The Renaissance'. Taking to their social media outlets during the late hours on Sunday, November 8, the group shared several teasers and imagery for their 10th full-length project. All the teasers are inspired by the Renaissance era with archaic imagery of artwork, story teasers in motion graphics and audio narration from the group's members and more.
There are a total of nine teaser clips and nine individual pictures uploaded in sequence to form the album cover art if viewed from the homepage of Super Junior's Instagram account. Every teaser clip is narrated by members in Korean, but is presented in a storybook style to animated old-fashioned graphics. Over on Twitter, fans are in a frenzy over Super Junior's announcement. "SCREAMING," wrote a fan in all caps while another said, "The best teaser of 2020! Fight me!"

Initially announced by the group's label who revealed that a new album is in the works, 'The Renaissance' will mark their 10th full-length album and his dropping in December, nearly a year after 'Timeless' which arrived in January 2020. 'Timeless' is the name given the repackaged edition for 'Time Slip' which released in October last year.
'Time Slip' received commercial success, garnering 350,000 pre-orders and reaching No. 1 on iTunes in 32 countries. According to Hanteo News, it recorded a first-week sale of more than 270,000 copies, breaking the band's previous first-week sale record by 215 percent, from the album 'Play'. The LP also received its platinum album certification in December 2019. Additionally, the album's lead single 'Super Clap' won first place in weekly music shows 'M Countdown' and 'Music Bank'.
To celebrate the group’s 15th anniversary, the nostalgic fan song 'The Melody' from the forthcoming LP was pre-released along with a music video on November 6. On November 7, Super Junior held their online fan meeting 'Beyond LIVE – SUPER JUNIOR 15th Anniversary Special Event – Invitation' on V Live.
