'Succession' Season 3 finally hit the ground running on HBO and the series pulled no punches as it gave eager fans just what they wanted and expected — a no-holds-barred war between Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) after the latter's bombshell press conference in the final episode of the second season. The new installment sees both parties arm themselves for the sh**storm that's headed their way as they scramble to arm themselves in the best way possible.

All set to play a key role in the battle between the two giants is Sanaa Lathan's, Lisa Arthur, a high-profile and well-connected lawyer in New York. She is introduced as Shiv's friend, who Logan wants to use as his defense aide when the government comes knocking on the door for his cruise caper. The caveat comes when Kendall actually swoops in early and bags Lisa to work for him. The lawyer also refuses to work with Logan and Shiv after the latter meets her requesting help.

In the final minutes of the episode, Kendall is seen telling Lisa that he is her puppet and would act on any legal advice she provides. However, with the erratic attitude, only time will tell how the relationship between Kendall and his hotshot lawyer pans out. Twitter was buzzing with Lathan's role being one of the discussion points. "Logan wants Shiv to call her "friend" Lisa Arthur and Shiv is not sure because Lisa loves winning, lol. #Succession #SuccessionHBO," read one of the tweets.

The theories weren't far away. "Yall… i have very little evidence for this… but im just getting a vibe that shiv and lisa arthur had a romantic tryst in the past… NOT TO START RUMORS! BUT IDK! IM JUST FEELING IT! #Succession," a fan remarked. "Ken bagged Lisa Arthur for his legal rep and now Logan's ticked. Hes going to go "FULL F*CKING BEAST!" #Succession," another opined. One of the fans was pleased to see Lathan play the role.
