There are only a handful number of people who have had an extraordinary career like Steve Martin and he has the credentials to prove that. The writer-turned-actor came to public notice in the 1960s as a writer for ‘The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour’, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1969, and went on to host ‘Saturday Night Live’. Since the 1980s, Martin has acted in several highly-popular movies and tickled everyone’s funny bone with his impeccable comedy timing. Currently, he can be seen playing the role of Charles-Haden Savage in Hulu’s ‘Only Murders in the Building’ alongside Martin Short and Selena Gomez. However, it seems the iconic actor is ready to draw curtains on his legendary career.

The comedy series began in 2021 and saw him playing the role of a washed-up TV actor who teams up with his fellow Arconia residents Mabel Mora (Gomez) and Oliver Putnam (Short) to start a true-crime podcast. The trio comes together to investigate a mysterious murder that takes place in a building situated in a high-class area. The series didn’t take much time in becoming a huge success and garnered praise for its impeccable storytelling. A lot of critics, as well as audiences, believed that the Hulu show helped Steve Martin in tasting success after a very long time and taking his career on an upward trajectory once again. But it seems the 76-year-old actor is ready to leave Hollywood after a career that spans over five decades.
