'Star Wars: The Clone Wars': Disney+ lets its subscribers down with a delayed airing, enraging patient fans

The Disney+ website and app had the same uploading problems as 'The Mandalorian,' with the new episode not appearing for most subscribers. Those who could see it, however, felt the episode was worth the wait.

Spoiler alert for 'The Bad Batch' - Episode 1 of Season 7 of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'

'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' is back, and the long awaited 'The Bad Batch' episode was set to grace the screens of Disney+ subscribers everywhere. Fans have waited over seven years for the release of this new season, and unfortunately for those who stayed up to watch the episode as soon as it aired, they had to wait just a little bit longer.

Disney+ is still having the same problems it had with 'The Mandalorian,' with its site not updating with the upload of the episode every week. While it was frustrating for some fans waiting for the episode to drop, the frustration there was nothing compared to those anticipating the new 'The Clone Wars' episode. Fans were incensed, and took to Twitter to express their frustrations.

"If the new episode isn’t posted in one minute i will go bozoinkers this is not okay," wrote one user on Twitter, whose frustration only grew, later tweeting, "I am about to SMACK the person whose job it was to get bad batch out on time. A girl needs to sleep y’all got no respect."

"Whoever is responsible for putting these things out on time sucks. it happened with mando and now clone wars," writes this 'Star Wars' fan. "Gimme new Clone Wars, you Mouse eared monsters," demanded this user.

Some fans were resigned to their fate. "This is probably going to be a repeated sentiment every Friday till clone wars is finished," one tweeted. "@disneyplus come on man. netflix never would’ve played with our emotions like this," noted one fan.

There was lot of swearing, a lot of helpful users trying to provide links to the working episode, as press reviews from site that had advanced viewings of the episode dropped their scheduled reviews right on time.

Those who WERE able to see it were beyond pleased with the episode. This fan posts, "Well hot DAMN #CloneWars was absolutely epic! So glad to have it back. Episode 1 of season 7 is already a reminder of how amazing this series is. In fact, the animation is SO good it took me a huge chunk of the episode to get used to it."

Ironically, 'The Bad Batch' is an episode that's technically been out for a while - albeit an unfinished version that was made before the show's original cancellation. "ITS SO GOOD TO SEE BAD BATCH IN ACTUAL ANIMATION AND NOT PRE-RENDERED!" said a viewer.

The return of 'The Clone Wars' pushed all the right nostalgia buttons for fans. "Bro. Season 7 already off to a great start that episode was amazing bringing me back to my childhood," said a user. The new 'Bad Batch' is definitely proving to be a hit, with one fan writing, "Bad Batch is the s***, I wished this squad was introduced much earlier in the show. Awesome first episode!"

All in all, while 'The Bad Batch' episode is everything the fans have wanted, Disney+ is repsonsible for souring the experience for fans who have been made to wait far too long for the return of the series.

The next episode of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' airs February 28 on Disney+....hopefully.
