LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Transformation is a big theme of romcoms, where the lead actress drops her flannel shirt and square glasses to become a secret supermodel. Well, Netflix's 'Squared Love All Over Again' created two movies out of that idea. If you have seen the first part of the Polish romcom, you might understand what exactly we're talking about. The sequel of 'Squared Love' is the continuation of the story of Enzo and Monika, played by Mateusz Banasiuk and Adrianna Chlebicka respectively. The plot takes you through the life of the couple, a famous journalist and a school teacher, understanding ways to exist in each other's lives.

Chlebicka brings a degree of sincerity to this dual-personality role, but the screenplay only gives her cliches to work with. The movie could have created a great story, given the outstanding soundtrack and cinematography. But, it took the same old romcom script and created the best of what could be done.

Missing chemistry and fast-forwarded script

'Squared Love' promised us a good romcom, but disappointed us with 'Squared Love All Over Again' in many ways but one. It seemed like 'Squared Love All Over Again' was written in a hurry and everyone just went with it. With the lack of on-screen chemistry and emotions, the Polish romcom breaks records when it comes to adding cliches to the story. The sequel continues from 'Squared Love' where Monika and Enzo starts dating and living together. The sequel has many problems - from Monika getting to know about Enzo losing his job in the second-half of the movie to the lack of emotion she portrays after getting to know the bad news.

The movie tells a story about a teacher and secret supermodel, whose secret is out, and a famous journalist who has lost his job all of a sudden. When the famous teacher gets a gig to host a children's show, she declines at first, but then for the sake of children and the deep love she has for them, she agrees. The second-half of the movie takes you through the problems Enzo and Monika are facing after she starts working on the children's show and frequently comes home late. Enzo, being a jobless guy gets suspicious of her whereabouts and starts acting out. Thinking Monika is involved with Rafal, her co-host, they fight several times, which also leads to Enzo moving out for the rest of the movie.

A rigged children's show and lots of controversies

Rafal is seen as someone who is falling for Monika, but after a fun boat party, when Rafal kisses Monika, she leaves the party, only to forget her purse and comes back for it. When she comes back, she hears Rafal talking to Ania, the person who owns the agency and one who fired Enzo. Rafal and Ania discuss about their plan to use Monika to get more popularity and make up romance rumors to spark controversies. Knowing this, Monika runs off to quit the show, but cannot as she is binded by a contract. Enzo comes back to apologize and he and Monika plan on taking down Rafal and Ania.

In the finale episode of the children's show, the pair successfully bring out the secret of the rigged show, with Monika riling up Rafal into admitting that he used her to popularize the show.

Later, Monika and Enzo are seen getting back together, with Enzo getting down on one knee to propose to her. But the twist is that there is no ring. We are only assuming that there will hopefully be a third part to this saga and there will be a good ending to this. All-in-all, the couple is happy and away from controversies and tabloids.
