Fraser, has previously worked on 'The Batman', 'The Mandalorian', and 'Rogue One'. In an interview with Motion Pictures prior to the Oscars ceremony, Fraser revealed his conviction behind working on the film. "I’m going to do this film because I could see the passion the filmmaker had for the story. It wasn’t one of those things where it was a story that I had to tell. But when Denis spoke to me about the story that he wanted to tell, I absolutely had to be involved. He’s an incredible director. We know that. But on this film he took what was an out-of-control, unruly story that was written by Frank Herbert, the story is about how unwieldy the story is, and he made it into a cinematic film. He deserves massive kudos for that because he’s just tamed the unimaginable," he had shared.

The 94th edition of the Academy Awards is currently being held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, March 27. Comedians Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes took over the hosting duties for the coveted award show. Awards in different categories such as film-making, acting, screenplay, costume design, music, and others were given away.

Social media users took to Twitter as soon as the Best Cinematography award was announced in the favor of ‘Dune’. Taking to Twitter, one fan said, “Dune’s cinematography was so damn fire, well deserved.” Another posted, “Yeah, I guess #Dune had incredible cinematography. But really how hard is it to film... sand?” Whereas, one shared, “So proud of #Dune for sweeping the technical categories!! Especially with Best Cinematography #AcademyAwards #Oscars” One user added, “#Dune always had cinematography in the bag (though you really wouldn't know I suppose... Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Editing, ffs)” and the next one concluded, “Yeah dune deserves cinematography since it did the heavy lifting.”
