'Someone with a dream': Matthew McConaughey to play 'Agent Elvis' in Netflix spy comedy
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elvis Presley, the king of rock and roll ruled the hearts of one and all with his incredible musical geniuses, and now Netflix has announced exciting news for the fans. Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey is set to play the titular character in its upcoming new adult animated spy comedy, ‘Agent Elvis.’ The show is being produced by the late crooner’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley and John Eddie, and the series will follow the music legend’s introduction into the role of government spy and ballooning fame.
The teaser is out on Monday, February 6, and features an animated Elvis on his path to saving the beloved country. There’s no doubt, playing a secret vigilante is tough when you’re one of the most recognized faces in the world. "Every once in a while, man accomplishes the impossible," McConaughey says as Elvis in the teaser. "All it takes is someone with a dream." Before adding, “cause when a man dreams, he can change the world."

What is the series all about?
Agent Elvis is a busy man as the teaser shows him fighting bad guys, dealing with a dead body, shootouts, fast cars, and comedy as Elvis navigates through a world full of violence. Sony Pictures Animation is coming up with its first adult animated project with ‘Agent Elvis’ and will jointly produce with Authentic Brands Group and Titmouse. McConaughey is also involved as an executive producer on the series. The makers are expected to announce other cast members soon, according to People.
