'People don't know me': Priscilla Presley's son Navarone Garcia opens up about his 'famous parents'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, the son of actress Priscilla Presley, lived a life away from the spotlight mostly. The son of producer Marco Garibaldi opened up about his famous parents, his step-sister Lisa Marie and her daughters, and his career in music in an interview for a popular magazine. "A lot of people know about me, but they don't know me," said the musician.
The 35-year-old talked about how people wanted to meet his mother and that got him in ‘trouble’ many times. "I got in trouble more than everybody else, because kids' parents would find out who my mom was, and they'd want a reason to talk to her," he says. "I wasn't very comfortable with it." Talking about his half-sister’s sudden death due to ‘full cardiac arrest’ on January 12, "It's still so surreal." Garcia was also present among mourners at Graceland for Lisa Marie Presley on January 22. She was the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla.

About his relationship with his father, Marco Garibaldi, the musician told People that they were more of friends than a typical father-son duo, "The disciplinarian role didn't work between us, but the friend role did. He wanted someone to go out drinking with".
Garcia talked about disbanding their family back in Los Angeles, and startling all over Santa Cruz, where he then found his current band ‘Them Guns.’ "It was an escape. It was a fresh start. Santa Cruz is a little portal that sucks you in."
'It ended up on the front page'
However, he couldn’t hide his family history for long as a report by the National Enquirer did a front-page report on him in 2008. Garcia was found to be growing marijuana in his backyard, "It ended up on the front page. Everybody knew who my family was again".
After that, Garcia decided to finally come back to LA and continue with his band ‘Them Guns,’ "I thought, 'OK, I'm going into the family business. I'll write a song, and then we'll start touring it. I didn't realize it takes way more than that." The star kid acknowledged the advantage of being Priscilla’s son as he got access to her connections and help, Garcia also clarified, " [It’s] misconception that I was raised extravagantly with Elvis' estate and money ... That wasn't the case."
"Riley has been so good with the twins," said Garcia, about Lisa Marie's daughters Finley and Harper, 14, with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood. The 35-year-old wants to go on an international tour soon, "there were some points where I didn't think I'd make it here. I'm so proud of how far I've come."
