Who is Lunarsolar?

Lunarsolar is a four-member South Korean girl group formed by JPlanet Entertainment. Lunarsolar officially stepped into the musical arena as a group with their debut single album 'Solar: Flare' on September 2, 2020. Before joining their current agency, three of the members were previously involved in the music industry.

Taeryeong was a contestant in the talent competition 'Produce 101' but she was eliminated and ranked at 57th place. Additionally, she was a participant in 'Mix Nine' but she was eliminated and placed at 46th place. Taeryeong was also part of ONO Entertainment's pre-debut girl group Blackmamba.

Member Jian was formerly part of the girl group S.E.T under the stage name TaeE and participated in 'The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project' but was eliminated and placed at 61st place. In 2013, Yuuri was a member of the Japanese girl group I'S9 until she left in 2015.

In 2018, JPlanet Entertainment announced 'Rookie Planet', a project to promote their trainees before their official debut. The members were revealed within a space of a year, starting with Jieun (who later became Jian), Taeryeong, Hyeonjeong (who later became Eseo), Yuuri, and Sujin (who left later in early 2020).
