Duluth, Minnesota's Social Animals have announced three additional dates on January 9 supporting Tom DeLonge's Angels & Airwaves later this month after completing a successful run of shows with the band this December.

The three dates saw the Duluth band play the famous First Avenue in Minneapolis on December 12, The Criterion in Oklahoma City on December 21, and the House of Blues in Houston, Texas December 22. Social Animals will continue to perform with Angels & Airwaves with the new dates including shows in Canada and the U.S. – Dates can be found below and for tickets, click here.

Social Animals continues in support of their brand new single 'Bad Things,' which released in November via a new partnership with Rise Records. Clash noted of the track that “...their delicious indie-pop has a bittersweet edge, this pang of introversion that makes for something bracing,” while it picked up early spins with much love at SiriusXM’s Alt Nation and Minneapolis’ The Current.

Singer/guitarist and songwriter Dedric Clark explains that 'Bad Things' was born out of superstition among friends. Dedric Clark states, “In the Midwest, I think we’re born with a looming fear that when things are going your way, they will take a turn for the worse soon after. Probably a side effect of the long winters”.

In late 2016 and early 2017, Social Animals began recording their debut album with notable engineer Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies) in a combination of studios, including Modest Mouse's Ice Cream Party Studios, where they were aided by Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Deer Tick), and Chris Carrabba's Deep Deep South studio.

'Bad Things' sees the band refining themselves into a more distinct personality, with influences such as The Cure, Oasis and New Order, the group tackle questions of uncertainty, existence and the subtle reach for optimism in a world that may appear bleak and bittersweet at times.

The video includes a desert scene and frontman Dedric Clark running a brisk pace in an unconcluded direction, an incandescent nudge to add this to one's "roadtrip" playlist. 'Bad Things' is available via all DSPs and you can watch the official music video here. Stay tuned as the band gears up to release more new music and tour dates in the near future.
