'Been Afflay'? Snoop Dogg mispronounces Ben Affleck's name at Golden Globes nominations
Rapper Snoop Dogg left fans in hysterics as he mispronounced several celebrity names while announcing nominees
The Golden Globes got Snoop Dogg to announce the nominations for 2022 and he's 'been' doing a great job! As he announced reel Batman's name, he pronounced it wrongly as 'Been Afflay'. However, Snoop Dogg was quick to apologize leaving netizens and viewers to have a good show.
"Been Afflay. Ben Affleck, my fault. Sorry bout that Ben," Snoop said as he lightly chuckled.
In addition to Ben, Snoop mispronounced almost every name on the list! This 50-year old rapper put in his own spin on most nominee names including Denis Villeneuve, Ciaran Hinds, among others.
What really took the cake, leaving netizens going gaga over the newly made names was 'Been Aff-fleck'. Snoop Dogg was confidently and ever so graciously calling out the nominees, until this one special name. Continuing what he was doing since the beginning, Snoop Dogg even mispronounced Ben's name but he was quick to correct himself and said, "sorry about that Ben." and chuckled just a little.
Belfast star Ciaran also had the chance to get a new name when Snoop initially called him Karan, then correcting himself he called him Karen. Ciaran's name is correctly pronounced as Kee-rawn. To correct this blunder, Snoop said, 'sorry, work with me now.'
Snoop also mispronounced the name of Dune's director by calling him Denis Villenueva (Dennis Villain Uawver is the way Snoop called him). His name actually is Denis Villeneuve.
A Twitter user loved Snoop's spins so much, she said, "Can he do this every year? hahahahahaha." Another user thinks "Funny mistakes are comedy gold." Being sarcastic, another netizen added, "Ben Afflay, he is very popular in France."

Calling him the National Treasure, one user said, "Just another reason why Snoop should be right up there with Betty White, and Dolly Parton. National Treasures." Another user thinks "Congrats to Ben Affleck(or how to Snoop Dogg like to call him “Been Afflack”) for his Golden Globe nomination."

Talking more on how Snoop Dogg felt, this user said, "@SnoopDogg saying 'Ben Affleck' #GoldenGlobes, You Know he was way too high LOL - PRICELESS!!!" A Twitter user pointed out a fun fact by saying, "Losing my mind over Snoop Dogg mispronouncing nearly every name on the list, but only stopping to apologize to Ben Affleck."

Certain stars reportedly decided to collectively boycott the awards ceremony as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) revealed no black members. Before the Golden Globes nominations started, the HFPA President Helen Hoehne addressed the mind-shattering scandal saying, "This has been a year of change and reflection worked tirelessly to be better. We also have 21 new members the largest and most diverse in our history."
