Snoop Dogg ‘Take It From A G’: Release date, concept and all you need to know about hip-hop icon’s new album
One of the biggest hip-hop icons to ever touch the mic, Snoop Dogg has consistently dropped one album every year in last five years. Continuing his love for the game, the 49-year-old rapper is all set to drop his new album titled ‘Take It From A G.’ The 'Gin & Juice’ hitmaker took to his Instagram account to share the big news with his fans.
Snoop Dogg, who enjoys 54.4 million followers on the photo-sharing app, dropped a teaser of his new project which opens with what we can assume might be the official poster for his new record. The hip-hop veteran did not give any caption to his Instagram post. ‘Take It From A G’ will be the rapper’s 18th studio effort and is a follow-up to his 2019 album titled ‘I Wanna Thank Me.’
Release date
As confirmed by the Instagram video teaser, Snoop Dogg’s new album will not be less than a Christmas gift for his fans as ‘Take It From A G’ will hit the Internet in December 2020. However, we still need to wait for the official date. MEAWW will keep you posted on the same.
Concept
Clearly, a lot of hard work has been put in the teaser video. The 50-second Instagram video opens with a photo of the multiple award-winning rapper posing with his old school ride and the wall behind him reveals the name and release time of the project. The video then cuts to shots of the newest mural in Los Angeles highlighting the Lakers victory and a purple and yellow Low Rider called Lake Show driving around the streets.
As the video progresses, the hip-hop icon can be heard rapping in the background. According to HipHopDX, Snoop raps, “Man c’mon Magic, you said it. You called it,” while referring to basketball Hall of Famer Magic Johnson. “King James and LeBron was double trouble! Can’t fault Magic.”
While we enjoy the visuals, Snoop raps, “Dippin’ slow, sittin’ low, tippin’ up the streets, Girl you know how it goes when you with a G. Ain’t no disrespect talk you talkin’ to a P, always been a boss I can put you on your feet. Real icon, I’m the biggest from the Beach. Making all this money, I can get it in my sleep. Might let back the top so she can feel the breeze. The game’s sold not to be told, you can’t take it from a G.”
