Wisconsin-based singer-songwriter Skylar Grey has released the official music video for her new single 'Claws' on Friday, August 7. The singer took to her Instagram to announce the new video and also declare her love for fiancé Elliott Taylor.

Not only have the two recently got engaged, but Grey and Taylor have also collaborated together on 'Claws'. Earlier today, Grey shared a clip of the music video and wrote in the caption, "Claws was performed, written, produced, and mixed by @elliott__taylor and me... video made with the help of @rjmckinnon," adding, "Small team big dreams!"

Her post was then followed by another with 'Claws' photos and the singer cementing her romance with a caption that read, "I’ll never let go... I love him to the end of the earth. #claws."

You don't have to read Grey's message to spot that the two are head over heels, as the new 'Claws' clip shows that the lovebirds can't let go of each other, quite literally. In the visual, we see the couple standing together in an embrace for the duration of the entire video. Barely any movement, no scene changes, just hugging like it's their last and singing sweet melodies to each other. If you find that hard to believe, just watch the music video below.

Sonically, 'Claws' captures a sense of tenderness and intimacy but unconventionally over a trap rhythm with dampened synth chord chimes on every beat of each bar. We have to note the buttery smooth vocals of Grey, who sings lyrics that go, "You wanna see the dark side of paradise. Step into the archives, if you like. I can bring a good man to the night. Take your fantasies and turn them into life. I can do you right with wrongs. I know that it turns you on. And it really turns me on. I can't get enough, no, I think I'm stuck."

This is not the first time that Grey and Taylor have written a song about finding new love. In 2019, Grey and Taylor wrote 'Falling In Love Again' for Celine Dion's studio album 'Courage'. The two brainstormed the concept while “trying to imagine ourselves going through what she did,” according to Grey.  She added, “[She] found new love. We were trying to emotionally get there so we spent two hours discussing that and then the concept marinated for a while and then we put it to music and sent it off to her.”
