'Sister Wives': Meri is forced to leave her home after neighbors object and fans think she was treated unfairly
The Sister Wives have moved to Arizona and all of them have their own house but it looks like Meri is having problems settling into hers.
In the season premiere of the show, Meri revealed that while she and Kody were done shifting they were visited by a cop who told them about a complaint that was filed against them.
Meri was shocked and decided to visit the neighbor to make amends but that did not work her way. To make things worse, Meri added that she got a call from the owner who stated that it would be best if she left the house. Meri was shocked that they had reached this point as they had discussed everything before moving.
"I was, like, completely open with her. They put it in the contract — in the rental contract. She knows we’re a plural family. She knows we’re gonna be filming in the house," she said.
"By the end of the conversation, you know, she was just like, 'I need to rethink this. I need to consider whether or not I wanna have you continue renting from me'," Meri shared.
Unfortunately. Meri was ultimately asked to leave the house and she had to move back to her Las Vegas home. Meri knew that it would be a struggle to find another house all over again but at the moment she was left with no option.
Fans thought that it was unfair how Meri was asked to leave the house because of their lifestyle. "Meri's landlord is 'bullying' her," one wrote.
Another user added, "Meri, I think you should post the name of the neighborhood and possibly the person who negated your lease (Just saying ... not in a vindictive way) to help anyone else from moving there that might not fit their norm."
Some thought that what happened to Meri was unjust as the comment read, "If a homosexual couple moved in would they be pressuring them to move? Sorry I don’t see the difference."
Another added, "I’m at a loss for words with how you were treated by the owner of the house & the neighbor @MeriBrown1. Unreal."
'Sister Wives' airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
