'Sister Wives': With the same storyline being dragged over multiple episodes, is it time to 'cancel' the show?

'Sister Wives' has been part of TLC for a very long time and has managed to keep people hooked for multiple seasons but it looks like the interest is starting to wane

TLC is known to bring the extraordinary at your doorstep and by introducing a show like 'Sister Wives', they did just that. The show follows the life of Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Robyn, Jenelle and Christine and how the five stay together in one family while facing the judgemental eyes of society.

Season 1 proved successful because the show allowed people to step into the family's lives and witness how they were just like any other family. Meanwhile, it also gave viewers a glimpse of the problems that the family encounters in their everyday lives.

While the show managed to keep people hooked for multiple seasons, it looks like the interest is starting to wane with Season 14 now. One of the reasons for this is that the same storyline is being dragged for multiple episodes because there comes a point when the viewer thinks that they have had enough.

For instance, in the present season, the family had to make the move to Arizona and coming to terms with the big shift was a task in itself. However, it wasn't the shift that people thought was not interesting, it was the storyline of Kody trying to convince the entire family that he wants to move everyone to the same house.

When he first introduced this idea, there was no doubt that the sister wives were against the idea. The only person who showed some support was Jenelle. But when it came to the other wives, they were not keen on sharing a house with the rest of the family.

The same storyline progressed for multiple episodes and surprisingly or not, it is still going on. With the storyline plateauing on the entertainment graph, it looks like 'Sister Wives' is losing its charm from Season 1.

Many even think that it might be time to bid goodbye to the Brown family.  "TLC, really??? Just cancel sister wives already. I’m sure this guy just cost you guys a bunch of viewers anyway," one wrote. Another added, "TLC, please cancel Sister Wives and quit feeding Kody’s ego. At least 3 wives need to leave and maybe all 4! Let him get a job!"

It looks like 'Sister Wives' is slowly starting to lose people's interest, but will this mean that there will be no Season 10 after this season ends? Well, the ratings will answer this for us in the coming days.

'Sister Wives' Season 14 airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
