'Sister Wives' Season 15 Episode 1 just aired and it's safe to say that we're off to a dramatic start. The episode, which is aptly titled 'Being Strong or Being a Bitch' sees the Brown family patriarch and his wives sit down to discuss the issues that have been plaguing the family, especially the five of them and their interpersonal relationship. The family moved from their Las Vegas cul de sac to Flagstaff, Arizona, where they all now live in separate houses that are roughly within 15kms of each other. The distance and living situation has put a lot of strain on each of their relationships and their dynamic as a group and now is manifesting into something that's beyond each of their control.

For those new to the show, 'Sister Wives' follows the lives of Kody Brown and his four wives. As per the TLC summary, "There's husband Kody – along with his four wives: Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn and their combined 18 children. See how they attempt to navigate life as a "normal" family in a society that shuns their lifestyle. From their unconventional family structure and living arrangements to financial challenges, each episode exposes the inner workings of a polygamist household, revealing the unexpectedly tight-knit and loving relationships between Kody and his wives."

'Sister Wives': Is Kody Brown a criminal for practicing polygamy with four wives? Here's why US law is against it

However, what was once a close, tight-knit family is now coming apart at the seams, and at the center of it all is Kody Brown. The family, who was initially based out of Utah had to leave the state on account of its strict anti-polygamy law, which proved to be an issue after Robyn joined the family. The family then made to Las Vegas, where they stayed in cul de sac, with individual homes for each of the wives. But the family was soon worried about what the younger set of children were being exposed to and decided that moving to Flagstaff, Arizona might be better, seeing that there was not only a plot of land to their name, but they hoped to be able to provide the children with a stable environment to grow up in. However, now with the wives living separately and Kody having to divide his time, it seems like the situation has just gone from bad to worse.

The five of them settled down over lunch where they spoke at length about the family's issues, with Janelle pointing out that it was the move from Utah onwards that caused the rift, seeing that the family was no longer under one roof. Robyn, who was the last wife to join the family was quick to assume this was because of her and began the waterworks. The wives comforted her, but the issues were far from repaired. With Christine claiming that she felt like an outsider in general, she had a lot to say about her relationship with Kody. She also believes that this new schedule where Kody only shows up for a few hours disrupts the routine for her and her kids. She also accused Kody of spending far too much time on his phone when he was with her, as opposed to being mentally present. Kody, in his confessional, made it clear that he was using his phone when he was with Christine was because he didn't want to be there at all.

None of the wives seemed happy at all and Twitter was quick to pick up on why that was the case. "So Cody’s gaslighting, Robins making it all about her, Mary is terrified and feels forgotten, Christine is checked out and Janelle is looking for a team on a solo trip.. #SisterWives" pointed a fan. "Good for Janelle for putting it all out there..you all can share the same penis but not the same house? #sisterwives" tweeted a fan, seeing that Janelle was keeping it real. "@SWChristine2020 changed her Twitter name and got a new account over a year ago....and this t**t waffle doesn’t even know #sisterwives" tweeted a fan with regard to the fact that Christine changed her handle a year ago, yet her husband didn't even know that. "#SisterWives Kody sitting there stuffing his face while they fight over his penis." tweeted another, seeing just how disconnected from it all Kody seemed.

Meri, on the other hand, seemed to be totally tapped out of the family's problems itself. Seeing that she's been married to Kody the longest, the two really seemed to be completely out of love, with a short preview of her even asking Kody that if she tried to kiss him, would he push her away. His silence was uncomfortable to watch, leaving the fate of their relationship unknown for now.

Fans were quick to notice that Kody only seemed to want to spend time with Robyn, seeing that he even made sure she got a house for her family, while the others still dealt with a rental situation. "Kody sounds like he is just begging these ladies to leave him so he can focus on one wife #SisterWives" tweeted a fan. "Cody always jumps to Robyn’s defense with the other wives & Robyn hates that. She’s the favorite & Cody only wants to be with her & her kids. Robyn loves her sister wives so she snaps at him when he does that. She WANTS to be a plural wife, but he only wants her. #SisterWives" tweeted another. "Kody is so done with polygamy. Just stop playing the stupid game. Meri, Janelle & Christine all deserve better. Robyn can have him. She’s as insufferable as Kody. #SisterWives" said a fan.

Is it time for the large family to just call it quits? With the next episode seeing just how the family deals with the pandemic, we're sure there's going to be drama galore.
