K-pop and J-pop star BoA announced that her brand-new album, titled 'Better', is set to arrive this winter. Fans, mark your calendars for December 1! The South Korean singer-songwriter took to her social media account to announce the upcoming album.

"The 10th album “BETTER” 2020.12.1," BoA wrote in the caption alongside a photo of herself composed in a misty white aesthetic. BoA's album announcement was posted on both her Twitter and Instagram accounts. You can check it out below.

Fans are in a frenzy over the announcement. "OMG OMG OMG OMG,' wrote a fan in all caps while another said, "WOAH THERE." One fan wrote, "WORLD STOP! B10 !!!!" "WELCOME BACK QUEEN WEVE BEEN MISSING YOU SO MUCH," said a fan. Another fan added, "SHE'S GONNA SHOW KPOPPERS WHY SHE'S THE QUEEN."

Hardcore fans have also pointed out that her announcement comes the same day as BoA's birthday, and the celebration amongst fans is felt. As mentioned by the singer, her new record will mark her tenth studio album, which follows two years after both her Korean LP 'Woman' and her Japanese LP 'Watashi Kono Mama de Ii no Kana'. Her album discography includes nine albums for each language, and 'Better' will arrive in the 20th year of her highly followed and successful career since her debut. According to Allkpop, the new record will feature a total of 11 songs.

In July, SM Entertainment announced its latest SM STATION project called 'Our Beloved BoA', which celebrates the 20th anniversary of BoA.” The project features various artists covering five of BoA’s songs, including 'Garden in the Air' by EXO’s Baekhyun, 'Atlantis Princess' by BOL4, 'Only One' by Gallant, 'Milky Way' by Red Velvet, and 'Tree' by SM Classics. The 'Garden in the Air' cover released on July 31, the same day as the announcement, while the rest of the songs arrived in August.

With the success of 'Woman', which peaked at No 6 on the Gaon chart for 'South Korean Albums', and 'Watashi Kono Mama de Ii no Kana', which impacted the charts at No. 11 on Billboard Japan's 'Hot Albums', it goes without saying that fans are in high hopes and eager for BoA's next project. South Korean artists are also frequently pushing out project after project in their busy careers, and for fans, waiting two years for a new album can feel like a decade.
