For SHINee fans, 2021 is going to be epic with a new album dropping in February titled ‘Don’t Call Me’. The seventh full album of the K-pop supergroup will be released after almost a three-year wait since their last album, ‘The Story of Light’, released in 2018.

From decoding the album poster to all the live streaming updates, here are all the deets you need to know about the K-pop kings’ comeback.

SHINee has been teasing their much-anticipated comeback since the beginning of the year with SM Entertainment’s global concert on January 1. SHINee later held a special broadcast titled ‘The Ringtone: SHINee Is Back’, where Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin performed their upcoming b-side track ‘Marry You’ from the comeback.

SHINee earned the title of ‘Princes of K-pop’ through their record-breaking success in the genre with multiple albums charting at one in music charts along with also breaking the language barrier and selling over 100,000 copies of the single ‘Replay’, the highest number of sales for a Japanese debut single recorded by Oricon for a South Korean group during that period.

‘Don’t Call Me’ will be released on February 22. 



 

Concept 

The cryptic teaser photo of the new album ‘Don’t Call Me’ comes with the caption that says “Any Resemblance To Actual Person Or Event Is Purely Coincidental”. The photo has sparked a sea of speculations on the concept. Fans believe that the concept hints at a futuristic concept from SHINee while others believe that it can be about an apocalyptic theme as well.

Tracklist

The tracklist of the album hasn’t been released yet. So far, ‘Marry You’ as a B-side track has been performed by the K-pop group.

Fans have been beyond excited for the album as the K-pop group is coming back after a long time. SHINee fans have been having a meltdown since the album teaser photo has been released.

Here are some of the reactions. A fan said, “THE KINGS OF K-POP - @SHINee - ARE BACKKKK” and another said, “HOLY MOLY I'M CRYING AND SHAKING ITS FINALLY HAPPENING!” Another tweet read, “It looks like another awesome era. SHINee slays at concepts. <3 CW ...except this particular one reminds me of J (especially as that's my bias) and how cool he would be in this, it screams him. Sorry to remind anyone, but it just sticks out to me in this” referring to the late member Jonghyun whose tragic demise shook the K-pop fandom.
