Epic news, SHINee fans, your favorite K-pop boy group has got big plans for 2021, according to a new teaser that has begun making rounds on social media. The group started trending on Twitter during SM Entertainment’s mega concert, SMTown Live 'Culture Humanity', which brought SM Entertainment’s K-pop superstars on one stage.

Between performances, SHINee dropped in via a video announcement in which they teased their new era. In the video, we see a throwback to some of their biggest hits dating back to 2008. The clip plays scenes from iconic SHINee music videos in chronological order with songs including 2008's 'Replay', 2009's 'Juliette', 2012's 'Sherlock', and more right up to 2018's 'Our Page' before dropping the bomb: "2021 SHINEE IS BACK." Watch the video below.

It's not clear exactly what their highly-anticipated comeback with feature exactly and if we can expect a new album, but the teaser was more than enough to get fans in a meltdown of excitement. "Shinee literally stole the show with a vcr imagine if they actually attended," said a fan while another wrote, "this is why the industry been so bland no shinee music for three years bro."

"The way it hasnt even been 24 hours since 2021 started but it's already so much better than 2020 because of this #SHINee," said a fan in an earlier tweet. One fan wrote in all caps, "IF YOU THINK IM GONNA BE SCREAMING ABOUT SHINEE’S [COME]BACK 2021 FOR THE REST OF THE DAY YOU ARE RIGHT."  Another fan added, "The best thing for every SHINee comeback is when they use Minho's "SHINee is back" voice it makes everything more real."

As some fans have also pointed out, it has been a long wait since we've gotten new SHINee music. For Japanese fans, the group released their latest Japanese studio album 'Five' back in January 2017. The complete trilogy of EPS for the Korean album 'The Story of Light' arrived in 2018. Additionally, 'The Story of Light EP.3' is the last Shinee release to feature late member Jonghyun following his death.

Since then, each of the boys found success in their own solo ventures and collectively in the music industry, but on a similar note to the aforementioned fans, 2021 is looking bright for K-pop as SHINee gears up for their comeback and we can't wait to see what they are cooking.
