The defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has seemingly more twists and turns than the snakes and ladders board game. In her testimony, Heard had mentioned a staircase fight incident between Kate Moss and her ex-husband when those two were in a relationship before she spoke about something similar that happened at their Los Angeles Penthouse in 2015, including her, Depp, and her sister, Whitney Henriquez.

The ‘Aquaman’ actress had claimed that she had not hit Depp except that one time when he was about to push Henriquez from the staircase. Heard’s sister also testified in the court and supported her by saying, “When he was sober, things were wonderful. When he wasn’t sober they were terrible. If he was using or if he was drinking there was almost always a fight.”

Henriquez continued while recollecting the details of the March 2015 fight, “They were saying really nasty things to one another. Johnny runs up the stairs. He comes up behind me, strikes me in the back kind of," before adding: “I hear Amber shout ‘Don’t hit my fucking sister.’ She smacks him, lands one.” She also noted that their bodyguard witnessed the violent episode too and tried to help “by that time Johnny had already grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and was whacking her repeatedly in the face with the other.”

However, a woman named Jennifer Howell’s name has come out amidst all the drama. She was mentioned during Henriquez’s cross-examination of her testimony by Depp’s team on Wednesday, May 18. Howell is reportedly Henriquez’s close friend as well as her “chosen sister”, who in a statement submitted to the court has contradicted what Heard’s sister has testified. Noting Henriquez’s testimony she gave during the 2020 UK trial, Howell said she was told just the opposite of what was presented in the court.

The woman’s statement was read in the court that stated: “Whitney told me she tried to stop her sister Amber from hitting [and] attacking Johnny on the stairs. Whitney said when she tried to intervene to stop Amber from going after Johnny, Amber nearly pushed Whitney down the stairs. She told me she was worried Amber ‘was going to kill Johnny.’ She told me she had endured that kind of abuse her entire life, first from her father, and then from Amber, who she said was extremely violent.”

The latest revelation has attracted a lot of attention online as well with a user tweeting, “Please tell me she will be called in for the rebuttal #DeppVsHeard #JusticeForJohnnyDep.” Another user said, “Wow. Just wow. She has quite a different story now apparently.” The third user noted, “Wow, that is big. I thought that is what was going on the whole time. Amber was abusing Johnny.”

A tweet read: “Even not knowing exactly what happened in all these disputed incidents... I can safely say that this toxic love story is pretty goddamn depressing.” “This is why they just zoomed through Whitney’s cross and didn’t really get too much into the stairs incident, because they don’t need her to impeach herself.  They perfectly set up for Howell to impeach all of Whitney’s testimony on rebuttal,” another tweet added.
