When will ‘Shark Tank’ Season 12 return? Here's the release date and what to expect from new 'Sharks' on ABC
It's time to take another dip in the tank, as 'Shark Tank' is going to get back on the silver screens and it’s not exactly going to be your typical season of the show. The official synopsis of the series states, "The show features a panel of investors called "sharks," who decide whether to invest as entrepreneurs make business presentations on their company or product." In case you are wondering about the safety measures during the filming of the show, 'Shark Tank' promises to have created a safer, socially distant environment. In the first look of the show, you will see the sharks' chairs spaced apart, and their hair-and-makeup crew masked up while putting the finishing touches on them.
Produced by MGM Television and Sony Pictures Television, the unrivaled and beloved show, which has become a culturally defining series for all the entrepreneurs, is being filmed in Las Vegas for the first time ever.
Where we left off
The last episode of the show aired on May 15, 2020, which was Episode: 24 of Season 11. Along with the regular sharks — Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, and Kevin O’Leary, the show also welcomed guest shark, Daniel Lubetzky, an entrepreneur and investor. The show showcased some really good pitches from the blooming entrepreneurs. According to the official website of the show, in the last episode, a Californian mom, from Danville, who believed to have a solution to help your babies sleep through the night came before the sharks. Entrepreneurs from Bloomington, Indiana, also introduced the Sharks to their ethical business model for their personalized body care brand. While a husband and wife duo from Boulder, Colorado, pitched their healthier plant-based alternative of favorite comfort food. Entrepreneurs from San Francisco, California, presented their stylish and ethically minded version of a comfortable outdoor accessory.
What we'd like to see
While Shark Tank is ultimately a series about dollars and cents, it is also about inspiration. The show's fans always look forward to the products and companies who are featured in the show to make their pitch. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the viewers are surely looking forward to products and services related to ease the pandemic for them. In the first look of the show, one entrepreneur says, "It's been really difficult with Covid, scaling the business the way we want to." Season 12 will be welcoming two new guest sharks: TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie and designer Kendra Scott, and welcomes back guest sharks including Alex Rodriguez and KIND founder Daniel Lubetzky. Marc Cuban, Lori Greiner, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, Barbara Corcoran, and Herjavec are back as your regular sharks.

The Sharks will be returning to the silver screen on October 16 at 8 pm ET on ABC Network.
