Is Christine Quinn returning to ‘Selling Sunset’? Jason Oppenheim reveals his feelings on the rumors
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Oppenheim is staying receptive and not holding any preconceived judgments about his previous coworker Christine Quinn who left 'Selling Sunset' in the year 2022 after staying on the show for five seasons.
Recently, the president of The Oppenheim Group, who is 47 years old, shared that he would be open to the idea of the former Oppenheim Group agent, aged 35, returning to the popular Netflix real estate reality show.
While having a conversation with TMZ, Jason mentioned that he would be supportive of this decision as long as it is well received by all parties involved.
“I have nothing against her coming back. I think everyone deserves a second chance. I think I would be on board, but that would be a group decision," he told the media outlet.
He went on to explain that the decision-making process involves many individuals, such as those at Netflix and the current cast members. He also expressed his willingness to support the decision if it receives approval from everyone involved.
As of this moment, Christine has not made any official statement regarding her return to Netflix's hit real estate show 'Selling Sunset.'
‘Selling Sunset’ star Mary Fitzgerald dishes on Christine Quinn’s possible return
In a recent interview with E! News, Mary Fitzgerald provided some insight into the possibility of Christine Quinn making a comeback on 'Selling Sunset'.
The Netflix star discussed the potential for Quinn's return and shared her thoughts on how it could impact the show's dynamic. She also touched on the speculation surrounding Quinn's departure from the show and hinted at what fans can expect in the upcoming seasons.
Though Mary recently saw her former costar at a party with realtors Jason Oppenheim and Nicole Young, she believes that Christine's days in the Oppenheim Group office are now behind her.
"I wish her the very best. I feel really, really bad for what she's gone through and I want her to live her best life," she said.
Mary expressed doubt that Christine, who is currently going through a divorce with her ex Christian Dumontet, will make a comeback on the Netflix show.
"I don't think that's gonna happen. We just ran into each other and got a picture, so it kind of got blown up into that she's now coming back," she added.
Why did Christine Quinn leave ‘Selling Sunset’?
After completing five seasons on 'Selling Sunset,' Christine Quinn made the decision to leave the show in 2022. Then, she announced that she would be embarking on a new business venture with her then-husband Christian Dumontet, called RealOpen, which involved combining real estate and cryptocurrency.
"I terminated my contract when the brokerage launched. I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage," she told People magazine at that time.
The reality TV star expressed that even though she had left, she still maintained a positive relationship with Jason Oppenheim.
‘Selling Sunset’ star Christine Quinn is currently navigating through divorce with estranged husband Christian Dumontet
Christine Quinn is currently going through a divorce with her estranged spouse Christian Dumontet. She has been dealing with legal issues and disputes with Christian, ever since she decided to take a break from the popular reality show.
The couple, who have a two-year-old son named Christian, officially separated in March after being married for close to five years.
Us Weekly reported that Dumontet was taken into custody on charges of assault with a deadly weapon for reportedly hurling a bag containing glass at Christine. Fortunately, the glass did not strike the reality TV personality, but unfortunately, it hit their child instead.
Upon his second release on bail, Dumontet sought to protect himself by filing a restraining order against Christine. Unfortunately for him, the judge denied his request, leaving the situation unresolved.
Following his arrest for assault, Dumontet was taken into police custody and officially charged. He was able to secure his release from jail by posting a bond of $30,000. In response, Christine promptly filed a temporary restraining order to ensure her safety. However, her partner disregarded the terms of the TRO and was arrested once again.
Dumontet has remained silent on Christine's accusations. However, he was recently charged with three misdemeanor counts including child abuse/endangerment, assault, and violation of a protective order.
In a statement released by Quinn's attorney in May, it was revealed that Richard is facing charges for abusing their 2-year-old son, assaulting Christine and violating a restraining order.
“He has now been formally charged with child abuse against his 2-year-old toddler, assault against Christine Quinn, and for violating a restraining order. We believe this development is a crucial step toward safeguarding the legal and personal interests of both victims and trust that the matter will continue to be handled with the utmost seriousness it deserves," Christine's attorney said.
During a court hearing in June 2024, Dumontet did not enter a plea, leading to a judge issuing a criminal restraining order against him.
One month after confirming their separation in March, Dumontet officially filed for divorce from Christine in April, citing "irreconcilable differences."
Right now, Christine is fighting for sole legal and physical custody of their son Christian, alleging that her partner's actions have jeopardized their son's health and safety.
