'Selling Sunset': Davina and Christine wonder if Heather pays paparazzi to glamorize relationship with Tarek
Spoilers for 'Selling Sunset' Season 3
Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa's whirlwind romance was a much-talked-about topic at the Oppenheim's office in 'Selling Sunset' Season 2. The girls had their doubts, but the couple turned out to be the real deal. Within a year of dating, they moved in together and got engaged to be married. However, in Season 3, we only get to hear about their relationship briefly until Episode 8 where Christine Quinn and Davina Potratz touched a raw nerve by joking that Heather and Tarek are in the news all the time and one explanation would be that they pay them to be where they are.
The conversation went from being just a discussion among three friends to Heather storming in no time. She was worried that her and Tarek's interview with US Weekly may have upset Chrishell Stause, who is still processing the news of her divorce with 'This Is Us' star Justin Hartley which came as a shock not only to the world but also to her. Heather and Tarek were talking about their relationship and how things have been for them when the reporter slipped in a question about the Chrishell-Justin divorce and how they (the ladies of the Oppenheim group) are supporting her.
Christine and Davina were pleased with Heather's answer to the publication but they also took that moment to make jokes about her being in the news all the time. Heather said she was concerned if Chrishell took the article in a different way and hoped that she wouldn't misunderstand her, to which Christine said: "She knows that. She sees your 'baking cookies' articles, she sees your 'going to CVS' articles, she sees 'you going to the restaurant' articles. She sees all the articles."
Heather, in her defense, said that neither she nor Tarek calls up the media to show up where they are. But Christine vehemently disagreed to that theory in her confessional, she said that people hire publicists and teams to get their name out there. However, Davina and Heather were able to hash it out at work later when the latter informed that she and Tarek are in the news first because he has been a known face since 2011 and in addition to that went through a publicized divorce. Heather called herself the "new girl" in Tarek's life and cited that as one of the reasons why the media and paparazzi were invested in the couple.
