Jason Oppenheim of the Oppenheim Group seems like a fairly reasonable boss. He is open to new ideas and willing to give people chances, especially Mary Fitzgerald. From the viewers' point of view, it's understandable that Jason would come off as more invested in Mary because she was one of the first to join the real estate firm and has 12 years of experience behind her. It wouldn't be totally wrong to say that she has been at the center of the group's rise, right after the Oppenheim brothers — Jason and Brett. But Christine Quinn and Maya Vander have a completely different take on it.

In Episode 2 of 'Selling Sunset' Season 3, we see Jason discovering a listing that she asked Mary to handle and make a sale out of. While Jason helped Mary catch up with all the information he had about the property, Christine and Maya discussed how they'd have to make phone calls and knock on doors to get a listing. Whereas, Mary gets it for free. "Favoritism at its best," Christine added.

Although said in jest, workplace favoritism can get uncomfortable easily and quickly. Furthermore, this incident will only add to Christine and Mary's ongoing feud. They used to be BFFs at one point but those feelings started to turn bitter when Christine realized that Mary was going out of her way to make her friendship with Chrishell Stause visible and known. What also caused them to drift apart was her engagement news with Christian Richard, a tech entrepreneur, which she shared with only Davina Potratz. That hurt Mary a great deal.

Cut to Season 3, we see Christine badmouthing Mary and calling her a "fucking idiot". But she didn't react fiercely to the comment, instead attended Christine's birthday party. So, will they be able to look past their fractured friendship in this season? Time will tell. For now, we can only take a moment to appreciate how they have put in their best efforts to keep it cordial at work.
