‘SEAL Team’ Season 3 Episode 18: Who wrote the letter and could Clay or Rebecca be involved in this new plot?
'SEAL Team' dropped some major bombshells in the episode titled 'Edge of Nowhere' and while the Bravo Team was busy trying to get behind the peace negotiations in Afghanistan, Ambassador Marsden's (Khandi Alexander) name popped up again.
An investigation into the letter seems to spell new trouble for Bravo Team. The biggest confusion right now is whether someone from Bravo wrote that letter and exposed the entire cover-up. Who wrote the letter? In a long tweet thread, fans are wondering if Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot) or Rebecca Bowen (Adelaide Kane) could be the ones to blame. Many even think Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr.) could be involved.
"Who wrote the letter? Clay, Ray, Rebecca, Did Clay tell Ash? Regardless its is gonna bite whoever did it because they were talking confidential information & exposed the cover-up. And say goodbye to your future promotion. See how fast user Lindell drops them. #SEALteam," one fan posted and another wrote, "Clay. Or Rebecca (with details she got from Clay) Which will stop his STA-21. (Which character-wise would save us from him getting a degree (3 or 4 yrs) and working his way up the ranks which takes YEARS, you don't. change the world overnight)."
One fan wondered, "How much trouble is Bravo Team in because of that letter?" and another said, "I was thinking the same thing as I don't think Clay or anyone on Bravo would do it and if its Rebecca she is getting Bravo in trouble. #SEALTeam." One wrote, "Clay is the obvious choice, followed by Rebecca, which is why I don't think it was either. I'm going with Ray and it may cost him his WO promotion."
In the same thread, the viewer posted, "That's what SO many don't get with STA-21 it doesn't happen overnight IF it even happens. It's a loooooooong process. And doesn't really fit with the set up of the show. That's why I just don't see it happening either tbh." Talking about Ray's involvement, one said, "Definitely Ray would be the least obvious choice. And would fit in with his "perfect" vibe this season. But I just can't see STA-21 narrative working on the show, so it could kill two birds with one stone if it was Clay."
"Clay will pass up STA-21. He can't get booted from it and be essentially stuck with staying on the team because the guys would still hold a grudge over him choosing to leave, so it needs to be his choice to stay with Bravo and make things right," one said.
In the discussion, when one asked, "#Sealteam but if clay did write that letter would he be able to stay with the team? Wouldn't be get booted?" Another fan said, "Perhaps he'll just get demoted. Anythings possible now with the show they seem to bend it to what they want to work sod the past or rules or..." and added, "Yeah he would get booted IRL but they'll find a way of covering that why it may turn out it wasn't him directly (Rebecca to take the hit ) so it's not full-blown. She listed in cast in ep20 so perhaps he skypes her."
Some fans are also talking about how Clay finally learned the lesson of how difficult leadership can be. "Looks like Clay’s learning about leadership the hard way..." one said and another posted, "After this I don't want to hear or see any more whining or questioning Jason, got it Clay? You walked a minute in Jason's boots, he lives a life time in them."
As the new episode of 'SEAL Team' comes next week, we may finally find out if Clay was involved.
