The computer-animated mystery comedy film 'Scoob!' bypassed theatres in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic and will premiere directly on digital platforms. It's produced by Warner Animation Group and is based on the Scooby-Doo franchise. The movie was originally set to open in theatres on May 15. But was made available for a $20 digital rental and $25 digital purchase instead, on the same date.

The gang has been solving mysteries since childhood and has been accompanied by Shaggy's pet dog Scooby-Doo. In 'Scoob!', they are set to uncover the greatest mystery when they come face to face with Blue Falcon, who is trying to prevent his arch-nemesis Dick Dastardly from causing a global 'dogpocalypse' by unleashing the Great Cerberus. As they race against time and hope to stop the global 'godpocalypse', the detective gang discovers that Scooby has a great legacy and a destiny that is greater than anyone could have imagined.

'Scoob!' boasts of a stellar cast of Frank Welker as the title character, who is the only member of the original cast to reprise their role; then there are Will Forte as Shaggy Rogers, Gina Rodriguez as Velma Dinkley, Zac Efron as Fred Jones and Amanda Seyfried as Daphne Blake. There is also two-time Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg as Brian/ Blue Falcon, Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly, Kiersey Clemons as Falcon Fury pilot Dee Dee Sykes, Ken Jeong as Falcon Force's Dynomutt, Dog Wonder, and Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman.

A reboot of the Scooby-Doo film series, the movie is intended to be the first instalment in a series of films set within a Hanna-Barbera shared cinematic universe. It is directed by Tony Cervone, who is a leading expert on the Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tune franchises for WB Animation. Cervone is known for his work on films like 'Duck Dodgers', 'Space Jam', 'Cats and Dogs' and 'Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc'.

You can watch the film on iTunes, Fandango Now and on Vudu. The rental price for 'Scoob!' is $19.99 and the rental period is 48 hours. You can even purchase the movie for $24.99. The movie will also be available to watch on HBO Max. The streaming service will be launched on May 27.
