'Scoob': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Scooby Dooby Doo's latest reboot

Next summer is going to be epic because Warner Bros. Pictures is going to release the animated Scooby-Doo reboot 'S.C.O.O.B'. The film is going to explore the origins of Shaggy and Scooby in addition to the formation of the Mystery Inc. We will be witnessing the gang's biggest challenge yet—Dogapocalypse.  Warner Bros. just dropped the trailer for the film set to release in 2020, and we just can't keep calm!

Release date

The film is all set to premiere on May 15, 2020. 

Plot

Scooby and the gang face the most challenging mystery ever—a plan to unleash Cerberus, the dog ghost upon the world. The gang and scooby must stop this 'Dogpocalypse' as they discover that Scooby's destiny is greater than imagined.

Cast

Frank Welker

Frank will be voicing the titular Scoob in this movie. He was previously the voice of Fred since 1969 and Scooby-Doo since 2002. He is an American actor and a sound artist who is also known for his work on films like the 'Transformers' series and 'Aladdin' (Cave of Wonders). 

Zac Efron

Zac Effron is an American actor who rose to stardom with films like 'Hight School Musical', 'Hairspray', 'The Greatest Showman' and 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile'(Ted Bundy). He has replaced Frank Welker as Fred in this movie. 

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda is an American actress known for films like cult classic films like 'Mean Girls', 'Mamma Mia', 'Les Miserables' and 'Dear John'. She will be voicing Daphne for this movie. 

Gina Rodriguez

Gina is an American actress known for her role in TV shows and films like 'Deepwater Horizon', 'Annihilation', 'Jane the Virgin' and 'Filly Brown'.

Will Forte

Will is an American actor known for his films like 'Nebraska', 'The Lego Movie', 'The Last Man on Earth', and 'MacGruber'. He will be playing Scooby's best pal, Shaggy Rogers in this movie.

Mark Wahlberg

The American actor is known for his film like 'The Fighter', 'The Departed', 'Ted' and 'Boogie Nights'. He will be seen playing Blue Falcon in this animated film, Scoob.

Tony is a leading expert on the Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tune franchises for WB Animation. He is a producer and an animation expert. Tony is known for his work on films like 'Duck Dodgers', 'Space Jam', 'Cats and Dogs', and 'Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc'. 

Trailer

From the trailer, we see the plot leads to the viewers to finally see the origins of the greatest team of heroes in history, of mystery.  We also see how Scoob and Shaggy meet for the first time. All abode the nostalgia train, because this film is an emotional ride. It gives a glimpse into the plot but they do not reveal the main evil character, Blue Falcon.
