Contains spoilers for Season 6 Episode 7 of 'Schitt's Creek' titled 'Moira Rosé'

Herb Ertlinger (Richard Waugh) is a big fan of Moira Rose's (Catherine O'Hara) upcoming 'Crows' movie titled 'The Crows Have Eyes 3: The Crowening'. In Episode 7, he wants to name a wine after Moira — Moira Rosé, which must be sampled by Moira and David (Dan Levy) before it hits the market because there is a certain banana rosé very akin to laundry detergent.

Meanwhile, David had left Patrick (Noah Reid) back at the motel, engrossed in watching a baseball game. Johnny (Eugene Levy) gets in his head that he must have "the talk" with Patrick — the talk about him practically being a part of the family.

The confused, nervous energy between Patrick and Johnny is hilarious yet endearing. Johnny's broken attempts at having the talk are thwarted by what seems like a really happening game on television. Unbeknownst to Johnny, Patrick also has a thing or two to share about joining the Rose family. And if it doesn't bring a tear or two to your eye, you are lying to yourself.

Johnny has always liked Patrick but it is an exceptionally important conversation for him to have. Recall the time when he thought it would be easier for David if he 'just picks one gender' (of course, we're paraphrasing). Johnny never imagined David would be settling down with a partner and now that he has found the love of his life in a dedicated Patrick, Johnny stands as a proud yet vulnerable father. Which is what makes this conversation even more sincere.

At the Ertlinger Winery, Moira and David take the opportunity to reconnect with each other. "You and Patrick are two good grapes. Different notes, different tannins, but together you have managed to make a perfect blend," she tells him, a rather selfless thing to say even for Moira.

A selfless conversation about married life, the scene shows just how much love and affection runs in the Rose family. Going down memory lane, Moira tells David how Johnny and she have managed to make a happy married life and how with the right person, it is a fluid process; and Patrick and David are just the people for each other. Their sampling goes so well, it has David and Moira drunk by the end of it.

The night ends in a Rose family sleepover complete with Moira and Johnny joining in.

'Schitt's Creek' airs on Pop TV on Tuesdays at 9/ 8c.
