'Schitt's Creek' Season 6 Episode 4: Moira's movie trailer is out but will the Jazzagals share her enthusiasm?
The trailer for Moira's (Catherine O'Hara) movie has finally arrived, and it might just be the first real step on the road to relaunch her career and getting out of Schitt's Creek. However, will the Jazzagals share Moira's enthusiasm for the film once the trailer is released? Meanwhile, Roland (Chris Elliot) and Johnny (Eugene Levy) run into a complication at their new motel.
The official synopsis for the episode reads, "Moira shares the newly-released 'Crows' movie trailer with the Jazzagals; Johnny and Roland find a suspicious bag of money at the new motel."
The Roses have been trying to find a way out of Schitt's Creek from the very beginning. David (Daniel Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy) have come to settle down in the once-hated small town, but that doesn't mean their parents aren't still trying to earn their way back into a family fortune. Moira held the 'Crows' movie together with the sheer determination of a woman who refuses to acknowledge defeat, and if the movie is a hit, she's no small part of it. It's still a B-movie horror flick -- how will Moira react if the Jazzagals are less than enthusiastic about the movie's release?
Johnny has his own plans for getting out of Schitt's Creek, with his expanding motel business. With Stevie (Emily Hampshire) backing out, Johnny has no choice but to figure things out with the help of Roland. An unidentified bag of money in their new motel brings up a bunch of questions, but the only one in Roland's mind is likely to be: "Can we keep it?"
Meanwhile, David is still planning his wedding, and the show's title - 'Maid of Honour' - implies that a choice needs to be made about who his Maid of Honour will be now that Alexis is staying for the wedding. Between Stevie and Alexis, who will David choose to be the Maid of Honour for his big day?
The next episode of 'Schitt's Creek' airs January 28, on Pop TV, at 9 PM ET.
