'Say Yes to the Dress: In Sickness and in Health': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about the three-part special on Discovery+

Brides can only try on a limited number of dresses (and every gown is disinfected after) and they are allotted just two guests per appointment

Even amid the coronavirus pandemic, Kleinfeld Bridal Salon, the magical store where bridal dreams come true, is making sure that their clients go home with a wedding dress of their choice. For that, Discovery+ will be premiering a three-part special. Giving fans a gist in the press release, the showmakers said: “During the COVID epidemic, brides have had their wedding dreams crushed. The team of Randy Fenoli and Hayley Paige will stop at nothing to help these women still have their special day.”

‘Say Yes to the Dress: In Sickness and in Health’ will be premiering January 4, Mondays, from 3.01 am-4 am on Discovery+.

Plot

With the coronavirus pandemic, Kleinfeld's has implemented several precautions to ensure the safety of both employees and clients, including temperature checks before entering the salon, plexiglass separation between bridal dressing areas and mandatory masks. Brides can only try on a limited number of dresses (and every gown is disinfected after being worn), and they are allotted just two guests per appointment. However, Kleinfeld's provides iPads so additional family members can weigh in via video chat.

From virtual appointments to dresses on lockdown to rescheduled weddings, this season of the show will be unlike any.  

Cast

Longtime TLC star, and a familiar face to fans of ‘Say Yes to the Dress’, Randy Fenoli will be making a virtual appearance on the show, as does bridal designer Hayley Paige.

Randy knows how to make a bride smile while making sure she has the perfect wedding dress for her big day. With coronavirus halting some of the wedding plans, Randy will be stepping up his game to make sure that all his clients are happy and looking forward to their wedding. 

Speaking with People about the upcoming special, the former fashion director of Kleinfeld Bridal says, "2020 has been quite a year, and my heart breaks whenever I think about the brides whose wedding dreams have been dashed by the pandemic."

He continues: "With Say Yes to the Dress: In Sickness and In Health, we wanted to give some of those brides a glimmer of hope, and I feel like that’s exactly what we did by helping them say yes virtually!"
